Some Safety Tips

First things first, do not share your pumice stone with anyone else, each family member should have their own stone.

  • Scrub it after every use :

Dead skin will build up in the pores of the stone as you use it.

Clean your stone after every use. Use a brittle brush to remove the dead skin and hair from the stone.

Add a bit of soap to clean the stone completely and it will be clean and ready for the next time.

  • Replace the stone when it wears down:

Your stone will wear down over time as it is a soft stone when it becomes too smooth and small for effective use, buy another pumice stone.

These stones are inexpensive and almost available at every beauty store.

Every once in a while give the stone deep cleaning to make sure that it is harboring bacteria.

Boil a pot of water, put the stone in and boil it for 5 to 7 minutes.

If you use the stone frequently ten you should consider boiling it every two weeks.
