3. Boxing Shorts

Boxing involves some intense and rapid movements. Loose fitted boxing shorts are must-have for the boxer in the boxing ring. As these shorts are shorter in length and loose, so they help to make quick movements easily.

4. Vaseline

A simple way to slip away the punches you get on the face is Vaseline. Amateur boxers can apply Vaseline on the face. When an opponent throws a punch on your face, Vaseline makes the punch slip away instead of a straight hit. Application of Vaseline is prohibited in professional boxing. Vaseline is also applied on the wound if someone gets an injury in the fight to stop the blood.

5. Additional Equipment

  • Other additional equipment to ensure maximum protection in boxing are protective caps, soft-soled shoes, mouthguards and head guards. Mouthguards protect your teeth and mouth from getting injuries and also decrease the impact of the blows you get from the opponent on the head. There are also groin protectors to protect the groin area when the opponent throws lower punches and prevents getting any severe injuries. For women, there are also chest protectors.
